This post looks at where and how you can bulk buy kids books, whatever you might need them for.
Reading to children is so important.
It helps with their development, inspires their imagination and will hopefully help to instil a lifelong joy that can be found in reading for pleasure.
There are lots of reasons you might want to buy children’s books in bulk.
You could be helping fill up a school or nursery library, procuring books for a fundraising event or even using books as an alternative to party bags at a children’s party.
Just as when buying adult books, buying children’s books can get expensive, especially if you need to buy loads!
However, there are plenty of places where you can buy children’s books in bulk, you just need to know where to look.
How To Turn Your Child Into A Strong Reader And Writer
1. The Works
When it comes to buying children’s books in bulk, my number one recommendation would be to head to The Works and take a look at their 10 for £10 range.
This range did stop for a short while last year, but they brought it back due to popular demand from customers. If you shop in-store you can choose the books you’d like, however, when shopping online you’ll need to select a pre-made bundle.
Titles featured in the 10 for £10 include popular children’s series such as Topsy and Tim and Hairy Maclary, both firm favourites in our house, as well Mr Men and The Large Family.
There are also themed bundles of 10 books such as Stinky Stories and Pirate Adventures.
You can also order 10 of the same book for £10 – an example of this from the website is ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’.
It’s also worth taking a look at these book bundles at Christmas if you plan to make book advent calendars, which can be used over and over again each year.

2. Charity Shops
Charity shops often have a large selection of children’s books at great prices.
They might not be in pristine condition, but if they’re going into children’s library or nursery a few small signs of wear and tear won’t matter anyway.
Plus you have the benefit of helping a charity make money and helping prevent books from ending up in landfill.

3. Poundland & One Beyond
Poundland and One Beyond both have a great selection of children’s books, especially board books perfect for babies and toddlers, starting from as little as £1.
Even better, these include brands such as Peter Rabbit and Hey Duggee.
These would be perfect for party favours for a first or second birthday party.
4. Bulk Buy Kids Books On eBay
You might need to browse a little to find exactly what you need, but there are plenty of large kid’s bundles for sale on eBay.
Just be aware of any postage costs and resellers selling for more than you could buy the bundle for at the works.
5. Facebook Marketplace
I often see parents selling bundles of kid’s books on Facebook Marketplace when their children have outgrown them. This has the bonus that you can collect books rather than having to pay postage.
However, there is no recourse on Facebook, so be aware that if the books don’t end up being quite what you expected, there isn’t an option to return and get a refund.
6. Amazon
Amazon is perfect if you’re looking for bundles of mini books as prizes or for children’s birthday parties.
You can purchase bundles of puzzle books, colouring books and activity books for as little as £5 for ten.
I hope this list has given you some ideas for buying kids books in bulk!
