Gifts For Children
Kid’s Audio Players from Yoto
Price Range: £8+ cards – £60+ players
Best For: Children aged 3+ (2+ with adult supervision)
Perfect For: Families who would prefer to limit screen time
Why We Love It: When it comes to the Yoto Player, there is just so much to like. Limiting screen time is important to many parents, and the Yoto cleverly bridges the gap between fun tech and staying screen-free.
This screen-free audio player for kids encourages storytelling, imagination, and a love of listening. Anything that supports early literacy is a win in my book.
We’ve found the Yoto Mini to be especially good for our two-year-old. While we’re not anti-screen as a family, we do feel that at two-and-a-half he’s still a bit young for regular tablet time.
Of course, that doesn’t stop him from wanting to copy everything his big sister does, including using her iPad!

Having his own Yoto player (and his own headphones!) makes him feel like he’s doing the same thing she is, just without the screen. Plus, he sings along with his favourite nursery rhymes and listens to much-loved bedtime stories.
A few parents ask whether the Yoto replaces reading a bedtime story. For us, bedtime reading is something I’d never give up – it’s part of our routine and time to bond at the end of the day. The Yoto doesn’t replace that, but it is useful for those times they just won’t settle and need an extra story or two to help them relax.
And honestly, the Yoto isn’t only about bedtime. It’s brilliant for long car journeys with kids – everyone can listen to their own thing, and as much as I love The Wiggles, it’s refreshing to have some grown-up music for a change!
I was also surprised by how much content there is for the Yoto Player (and of course the Yoto Mini).
It’s not just stories and music – there are activity cards, kids’ podcasts, guided listening for popular children’s books, and fun things like quizzes.

We were kindly sent some Disney Quiz cards, and because we’re big quiz fans, we’ve all really enjoyed them, especially being able to choose when to hear the answer so we can properly compete.
We’ll definitely be bringing them along to our family Christmas games night; they’re such a fun way for kids to join in without anyone needing to play quiz master.
And one final bit of Yoto magic: you can buy blank Make-Your-Own Cards and record yourself (or family members) reading stories or leaving little messages (the Yoto players also come with one of these when you purchase them!)
It’s such a beautiful feature, perfect for when parents are away, or for preserving memories from grandparents and loved ones, knowing your children can hear familiar voices telling stories for years to come.

If you’re looking for a screen-free gift idea for toddlers or pre-schoolers, the Yoto Player has been a brilliant addition to our home.
Gift Tip:
The Yoto Player does take a little setup – you’ll need to download the app and scan the story or music cards. I’d recommend getting it fully charged and ready to play before gifting, so it can be enjoyed straight away on Christmas morning.
Oh, and don’t forget about the accessories. A jacket should help prevent any accidental damage and a case is perfect for keeping all your cards together.

6 in 1 Scooter from Micro-Scooters.co.uk

Price Range: £145
Best For: Children aged 1-5 years
Perfect For: A standout first Christmas (or birthday!) gift that grows with the child
Why We Love It:
It can be hard to know what to get very little ones for Christmas that won’t be quickly outgrown.
What I love about this 6-in-1 Micro Scooter is that it’s designed to last for up to five years and easily adapts to your child’s ever-changing abilities.
The toddler scooter actually starts life as a gentle indoor rocker before transforming into a ride-on and then a lean-to-steer scooter, meaning it lasts from toddlerhood right through to school age.

The light-up LED wheels add extra fun (and visibility), while the soft pastel tones make it as stylish as it is practical (we went for the sage!).
Unlike so many toys that are played with for five minutes before breaking or being forgotten, this one is built to last, sturdy, and genuinely grows with your child.
And as you can see, my two-year-old loved trying this toddler scooter out in the local park!

Gift Tip: While recommended for children from one year onwards, this would make a great first Christmas gift for babies approaching their first Birthday in the months after Christmas.

Kids’ Clothes From Blade & Rose

Price Range: From £3.50
Best For: Children aged 0-6
Perfect For: Parents who appreciate fun, practical and sustainable children’s clothes
Why We Love It:
What’s not to love about anything featuring a highland cow called Hamish?
Blade & Rose has a wide range of quality clothing to suit all.
From budget-friendly socks and bibs that would be perfect stocking fillers to comfy leggings that are especially designed to fit around nappies while giving freedom to play.
My top pick for the festive season is this adorable Christmas jumper featuring Hamish the Highland cow.
You should also take a look at the festive gift sets, which come beautifully packaged and make a perfect present.
Gift Tip: We all know how quickly children outgrow their clothes, and Christmas outfits often only get worn once or twice before being packed away.
As someone passionate about sustainable fashion, I love that Blade & Rose has a dedicated pre-loved buy and sell section on their website. It’s a brilliant way to pass on outgrown pieces, give them a second life, and use the money towards next year’s festive Hamish jumper.

Many items come in smaller packs of six or eight, ideal for hosting family over the holidays, while larger packs of 30 are perfect for teachers looking for festive classroom activities.

Gifts From MINISO

Best For: Kids, teens, and collectors who love fun surprises and trendy collectables
Perfect For: Quirky stocking fillers and playful gifts for fans of Japanese-inspired design
Why We Love It: MINISO mixes playful Chinese-inspired design with wallet-friendly prices.
Their surprise bags and collectables make gift-giving extra fun, while plushies, stationery, and quirky homeware are perfect for all ages, but I think especially for those tricky to buy for teenagers.

You’ll find favourites like Hello Kitty, Lilo & Stitch, and Minecraft. I picked a Stitch cup myself – that little alien’s popularity shows no signs of slowing down and it’s still a big hit with my seven-year-old!

Gifts For Her
Necklace from The Night Sky

Price Range: £100+
Best For: Someone you truly love
Perfect For: Commemorating those special moments
Why We Love It: This is one of those gifts I’d spot, fall in love with, decide it was too special to buy for myself… and then completely forget to mention when my husband asks what I want for Christmas.
If you’re the same, consider this your reminder to add it to your list!
I love gifts that feel personal and meaningful, and that’s exactly what you get with a personalised Night Sky Star Map Necklace. Each piece is engraved with the stars exactly as they appeared at a particular moment in time, capturing your memory forever.
You can choose any location and date that means something to you: the night you met, your engagement spot, your wedding day, the place your baby was born… the options are endless.
I chose our wedding date and location, which feels especially perfect with our ten-year anniversary coming up.

There are also different metals to choose from, including silver, gold, and rose-gold, so you can pick a style that suits you (or the person you’re gifting it to).
And if jewellery isn’t quite what you’re after, The Night Sky also offers star map art prints in various finishes like canvas, foil, and poster prints, which make a lovely keepsake for the home.
Gift Tip: A lovely bonus is that you can easily add a second pendant to your necklace, making it perfect if you want to represent more than one special moment, for example, a pendant for each child or both your engagement and wedding.

Skin Care From Tolpa

Price Range: £8+
Best For: Beauty Lovers
Perfect For: Those with sensitive skin
Why We Love It: As someone who really struggles to find skincare products that actually work for me, I’ve really enjoyed trying the dermo face lipidrio nourishing regenerating eye cream.
To be honest, I’m not big into beauty products. I have severe allergies that make my eyes extremely sensitive to almost anything I put on my face, so I rarely wear makeup and only use a couple of choice skincare products that I know I can tolerate. I get nervous trying new face products because they often make my eyes itch and water for hours, leaving me regretting the purchase.
However, this cream oil has been different. It genuinely lives up to its allergy-friendly claims, and my typically dry skin around my eyes feels much more nourished and comfortable. It’s lightweight yet hydrating, and has a texture that absorbs well without feeling greasy.
Another thing I appreciate is that it’s reasonably priced, making it easy to try without guilt. For anyone with sensitive or dry skin looking for a more gentle skincare option, this product is definitely worth considering.
Gift Tip: The budget-friendly price makes this a perfect stocking filler or addition to a beauty-themed hamper.

Stretch Mark Oil From Pod Organics

Price Range: £20+
Best For: Mums to Be
Perfect For: Adding to a New Mum hamper
Why We Love It: Pod Organics specialise in premium, natural products for mother and baby, and they make such a lovely gift idea for expectant mums.
At Christmas, mums-to-be often focus on making everything magical for everyone else, when really this is a time they deserve even more care and comfort for themselves.
As well as shopping for those cute newborn essentials, I always love the idea of creating a little mum hamper too – something for her to feel pampered and appreciated during pregnancy.
I recently gifted this Pod Organics Stretch Mark Oil to a friend who is expecting, and she has been getting on really well with it. She said it feels nourishing on the skin and absorbs nicely.
Gift Tip: Pair with other Pod Organic products to create a luxury hamper.

Butter Croissant Candle From WILDRACE

Price Range: £18+
Best For: That tricky-to-buy-for guy
Perfect For: Lovers of Luxury
Why We Love It: You might not automatically think of candles when it comes to gifting for the men in your life, but honestly, both my dad and my husband love a good candle.
It’s just one of those things people don’t often think to buy for men, probably because candles are still seen as more of a ‘girly’ gift.
Well, I think that needs to change. That said, I can completely understand why they might not get quite as excited about something pink and floral-scented.
Which is why my top pick is this Buttery Croissant candle from luxury candle brand WILDRACE.
The moment you open the box, you get the most delicious, warm, buttery scent, and it hits you again when you unwrap the (incredibly soft) tissue paper, and again once it’s lit the aroma fills the room in the cosiest way.
It genuinely made me pop to the shop and buy actual croissants for breakfast!
A gorgeous, indulgent winter gift, whether you’re buying for him, her, or yourself.
Gift Tip: If the Buttery Croissant candle sounds like your kind of treat, you can take things one step further with the patisserie trio set, which also includes Pain au Chocolat and Maple Pecan Danish scents.

Why We Love It:
This little festive treat from Raphia is such a lovely Christmas gift idea.
It’s a beautifully presented box filled with luxury chocolates, the kind of thing that feels special when you hand it over.

It’s the perfect size for popping slipping into a stocking or adding to a gift hamper for an extra touch of sweetness.

Preserved Fruits In Alcohol From Opies

Price Range: £7+ depending on jar size and retailer
Best For: Foodies, cocktail lovers, and hamper enthusiasts
Perfect For: Adding to festive hampers or gifting as a dinner-party treat
Why We Love It: These jars are such a lovely little treat – boozy fruit that you can spoon over ice cream, add to cocktails, or just enjoy as they are.
They’re the kind of gift people wouldn’t usually think to buy for themselves (which always makes it feel that bit more thoughtful).
They also look so pretty lined up on a shelf and instantly make a hamper feel more special without spending a fortune.
Gift Tip:
Pop one in a hamper with some nice cheese or chocolates, or add a mini bottle of gin for a simple but really lovely pairing.

Best For: Grandparents and extended family
Perfect For: Showing you care with something truly personal
Why We Love It: Max Spielmann offers a huge range of personalised gifts, so there’s something to suit every budget. Uploading and printing your family pictures is simple, and I made things even easier by choosing the print-ready framed option.
Framed poster prints are perfect for displaying lots of photos at once and letting you add a personal message. I picked some snaps from a recent family holiday to Center Parcs, which I’ll be gifting to my Mother-In-Law, who joined us on the trip.
Gift Tip: Combine old and new photos to create a timeline of memories – a lovely way to celebrate milestones like a child’s first year.
